Freemans originated in 1991 when a number of loss adjusting
firms amalgamated.
By 1995, Freemans had 17 members operating around 30 offices.
Now Freemans has grown to over 50 offices.
Freemans was awarded Loss Adjuster of the Year at the 2006
Insurance Industry Awards following its Technological Innovation
Award in 2005.
The name Freemans is borrowed from Colonel Freeman, a successful
Australian loss adjuster of the late nineteenth century, whose
conduct in his profession established a high standard for
his contemporaries and successors.
